PLANTING DENSITY: 1,600 plants per hectare.
Harvest: early October Careful visual selection of hand-picked bunches. The carefully selected grapes arrive at the winery transported in 15 kg wooden crates.
VINIFICATION: Soft pressing of the grapes, prolonged maceration for at least 20 days in small steel vats. Temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks.
AGING: 12 months in steel tanks plus 12 months in barriques with subsequent resting for 4 months in the bottle.
CHARACTERISTICS: deep ruby red colour with light purple reflections, consistent; intense and complex on the nose; hints of ripe red fruit tending to jam, spicy, notes of liquorice, vanilla and roasting; robust, fairly tannic, balanced, persistent, and harmonious.
